What is Sculptra® ?

Sculptra®  is a type of dermal filler. This cosmetic procedure uses FDA-approved poly-L-lactic acid to reduce deep wrinkles in your skin, gradually rebuilding the skin’s scaffolding, called collagen, from the inside.

This filler is non-invasive and you can get back to normal activities quickly after the procedure. Poly-L-lactic acid is a collagen stimulator that absorbs into your body a few days after treatment to encourage your cells to produce more collagen.  The body will produce more collagen over the next few months and gradually restore the skin’s condition by improving elasticity, smoothing out wrinkles, firmness, fullness and restoring an overall youthful appearance.    The changes are subtle and improvements may last for up to 24 months after the initial treatment.

Sculptra® for the Body

Advances in the use of this product makes it suitable for a non-surgical butt-lift.  This means that you no longer need to go under the knife, with anaesthesia and a long recovery period but can have this treatment done at the practice.  Your aesthetic doctor will do a detailed assessment, taking your needs and anatomy into consideration to achieve the desired outcome and shape! Areas that can be treated include the buttocks, abdomen and upper arms.

Sculptra® for the Face

Part of the aging process is a reduction of collagen content in our skin.  A healthy amount of collagen ensures a youthful looking complexion. But as collagen is lost due to aging, our skin’s inner structure is weakened and the skin becomes thinner. Eventually leading to saggy and loose skin and poorer skin quality.
