The Treatment
Restoring volume, the natural way
Dermal fillers replace volume the face has lost over time. As we age, cheeks gradually flatten, lips thin, and the deeper lines of expression settle in. Filler — placed with care — restores volume, supports natural contours, and softens these changes.
The work is hyaluronic-acid-based and reversible. Every treatment is tailored to your anatomy and your goals. The intention is balance, not change — you, still recognisably you.
Treatment Areas
What we treat
Dr Heyns takes a whole-face approach — assessing your features as a complete composition before deciding what to treat and what to leave alone.
Cheeks
Restore volume to flattened cheeks, lifting the midface and softening the appearance of nasolabial folds.
Lips
Define the border, balance asymmetry, and add subtle volume — natural lips that suit your face.
Nasolabial Folds
Soften the lines that run from nose to mouth — often called smile or laugh lines.
Marionette Lines
Address the lines from the corners of the mouth to the chin that can create a tired or downturned appearance.
Jawline
Define and contour the jawline for a sculpted profile, addressing jowling and lower-face volume loss.
Chin
Balance facial proportions, project a recessed chin, or smooth dimpling for improved profile harmony.
Temples
Restore volume to hollow temples — an often-overlooked area that affects the entire upper face.
Under Eyes
Carefully placed filler can soften the appearance of dark circles and hollowing beneath the eyes.
Hands
Restore lost volume to ageing hands, softening the visibility of veins and tendons.
The Approach
Enhancement, never exaggeration
As an international trainer for Galderma and Ipsen, Dr Heyns teaches other doctors the techniques he uses on his own patients. That experience is reflected in how he treats — conservatively, individually, with a careful eye for what each face needs.

Common Questions
Frequently asked
Is the treatment painful?
Most patients describe mild pressure rather than pain. Topical numbing is applied before treatment, and the fillers themselves contain lidocaine for added comfort.
Will I look overdone?
The intention is the opposite. Dr Heyns works conservatively — the goal is for people to notice you look well-rested, not that you've had work done. More can always be added at follow-up if you'd like.
What is the difference between fillers and neurotoxins?
Neurotoxins soften muscle movement that creates lines like frown lines or crow's feet. Fillers add volume and contour. They treat different concerns and are often used together as part of a comprehensive plan.
How long do results last?
Typically 6–18 months depending on the area and the product. Lip filler tends to metabolise faster than cheek filler. Maintenance treatments extend the result.
What if I don't like the results?
Hyaluronic acid filler is reversible. If you are unhappy with any result, the filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This is one of the key safety advantages of HA filler.
Can fillers be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Fillers are commonly combined with neurotoxins, skin boosters, biostimulators and PRP Renewal Therapy as part of a comprehensive plan, either on the same day or staged over time.
What should I avoid after treatment?
For the first 24 hours: avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat (saunas, hot yoga). Don't massage or press on treated areas. For lip or cheek filler, sleep with your head slightly elevated on the first night.
Are there any side effects?
Common effects include temporary swelling, redness or bruising at injection sites, typically resolving within a few days. Serious complications are rare when treatment is performed by an experienced practitioner.
Who is not suitable for dermal fillers?
Fillers are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for those with active skin infection in the treatment area, or those with certain autoimmune conditions. A full medical history is taken at consultation.
